Patricia (Trish) Quinn-Nichols

Founder. Consultant and Trainer

Patricia is an experienced facilitator, strategist, and engagement practitioner with expertise in public policy, land and facility planning, cultural transformation, and major event planning. With a background in project management and municipal leadership, she has worked on initiatives that shape public spaces, influence policy, and bring diverse voices into decision-making.

Her work spans infrastructure planning, community-driven decision-making, and international events, including WorldSkills International, the Inter-American Development Bank Annual Meeting, the International Play Association Conference, and Olympic engagement initiatives.

As part of the team behind the City of Calgary’s Cultural Transformation Project, Patricia contributed to an engagement approach that earned both the International IAF Facilitation Impact Award and the IAP2 Canada Core Values Award for Public Participation.

Now, as a consultant, Patricia helps organizations design effective engagement strategies, streamline internal processes, and foster inclusive participation in high-stakes public sector initiatives—ensuring informed, transparent, and sustainable outcomes.

Amelia Shaw

Amelia is an award-winning consultation strategist, facilitator, and engagement practitioner with over 20 years of experience. She has led the development of major policies, projects, and plans—designing and facilitating inclusive processes that drive meaningful outcomes. Her work spans multiple sectors, including community development, education, governance, land-use planning, and transportation.

A former Executive Manager of IAP2 Canada and USA and IAP2 Canada’s first President, Amelia has been a dedicated champion of high-quality public participation. An IAP2 licensed trainer since 2014, she is passionate about innovative approaches that align community and organizational values, earning international recognition, including an IAP2 Core Values Award for Innovation.

Her work spans community planning, infrastructure, waste management, recreation, and municipal policy, helping organizations connect with their communities in impactful ways.
